I just looked and season starts on the 10th. That is really early. I think to avoid the full moon.

Whew! Setting flagstone is a pain. Time consuming to do it right. On the uneven ground I'm sure that's up there, well......

Stupid question, to avoid the full moon? The fish and wildlife guys worry about that in CO?

I believe they take it into consideration for a couple of the seasons.

Well, I think it's to give us a bit of a chance. I've hunted opening mornings during a full moon and I could walk to where I wanted to go through the forest without a flashlight at 4 A.M.
