I think she had quite a meal ticket after his death with the rights to his music and such. I ma not much of a conspiracy buff but I think there are some good theories about this particular death.

 

well, he did mention in a few songs about having a gun and killing himself.

My opinion.... some folks end up so messed up they can no longer tolerate living with themselves. Kurt Cobain was a talented artist that like others simply came apart at the seams.
