I've never been in the camp that legalized pot was going to be a tax windfall for the state...any state. As a matter of fact, there was a story on the news tonight that hunting licenses will likely double in price because of budget cuts. If they don't in crease the license cost they "may have to block access to Colorado's wildlife areas" and not allow some hunting.
Salmon fer dinner and still fine tuning plans for the addition. Talking to a contractor buddie. There are there LDL trusses out that can span 30'. That means no frekin poles in the middle of the garage!!! Fun stuff.
Evening Woodrows. Just passing through as it's getting close to this old hillbilly's rack time.
Took a wild hair and decided to ride to Lexington as Man o' War Harley was having an open house and I needed a part anyway. Didn't bother to check the weather.
BIG mistake...
Just before I got to the stealership I hit rain. Not bad at all really, just a sprinkle...to start with. I flipped over to the weather band to discover that the storm that was moving through had potential for 60mph winds and hail.
Great! Get a little adventure in yer ride right?
Get there and took a look up close at the new Knot Heads and pissed off a sales guy pretty bad
He'll get over it I reckon.
Rained like a SOB while I was there and shut down the bikini bike wash. They had some real cuties! I sat out the rain and hit the road after it let up only to run into another storm before I got home. I went to put on the rain gear only to discover I had somehow taken the jacket for the rain suit out of the bag and that's when it happened. A genuine disaster occurred.....
My F'n cigarette lighter quit working!!!!!
Well I can put up with a lot but this was just too much! I waited that one out at a little store and made it on home in a light rain.
Man the things I do to get out and ride...

I told him the truth.
Standing there looking at a new 107 Road Toad and the guy comes up and says, "Nice bike huh?"
"Sure is!" sez I. "A lot of money though..."
"Yeah, but it will really run out!" he replies.
"You mean for a Harley right?" I say.
He goes "Huh?"
I said, "Look man don't get me wrong. I love my Harleys and have rode nothing else for many years, but Harley's idea of a bike that will "really run out" is a $45,000 motorcycle that a $18,000 Hyabusa will blow off the road!"
Well that started it.
I was gonna stop there but he started giving me the stink eye so I went on..
" I like the idea of the return to the single cam, but they could have just made a better flowing head without having to put 4 f'n valves on it and WTF is with having to take the tank off just to change the damn spark plugs?
For that matter, this damn thing has now nearly doubled the cost of an oil change by going to 5 quarts. Hell my son's car doesn't take that much f'n oil!"
He walked off talking to himself.... LOL
