It looks like the basic power commander 5 which I first put in, had narrow band sensors, that would match the picture of the 12mm OEM sensor.

I'm wondering if the Rinehearts came with a wide gap bung and somebody added a adapter to make them (12mm) fit the 18mm bung?

If that's the case, I need to find narrow band sensors in a 18mm size.

The beat goes on.
And on..

You guys know the only thing known to mankind to totally suppress the sexual urge in a woman is wedding cake.... But did you know the reason why women save a piece of the wedding cake to bring out on the first wedding anniversary?...it acts as a booster shot!

Al, I believe the Rush pipes that I put on my Heritage had 18mm bungs. Various places on the net sell 18mm to 12mm bushings. Never had a problem using them. Are you sure that the sensor won't come out of that 18mm "housing"?

I do have a couple of them with the flange that came in a kit I bought or with the pipes, don't remember.

Is the stock HD sensor 12mm?

According to amazon, the 18mm does not fit my bike, if you can believe them, it's starting to make sense.
Not that I care for the way they made it fit though.
