Two things came to mind when I read that thread..
Loneliness and the isolation caused by being a full time single parent can drive a man to do stupid things.
and
There is nothing more attractive to a lonely man than a woman/girl he thinks may be attracted to him.
Again, I don't know him but I do wish the guy well.
A guy I know flew to the Ukraine to marry a woman he met over the internet. She was for real but soon found out he wasn't and kicked his *** back to the good old US of A. So, I guess it can go both ways..
