I was following a group of guys I rode up with and thier friend who is a Sturgis local. We rode Iron Mtn then took off on some side roads. I think we went through Hill City and stopped to eat at this house that they turned their yard into a BBQ joint. It was some damn good BBQ. Does Hill City have the old steam locomotive on display at the one end of town?

The road it follows is a nice ride on its own but is rated as the most dangerous ride in the Hills due to side road traffic.
The BBQ place you speak of was right at the intersection/end of Main Street, wasn't it?
