TOAK- Thread Of All Knowledge- Part VI
Not on an 07. Plug is 1/2-20 o-ring thread plus tapping it out for the Heli coil last time made the hole quiet large. When I get back ill order a Big-Sert and be done with it.
Evening Woods!
Thanks Greg and Gloria for bringing the treats. And can't wait to have Cindy Lou Spaghetti!
I'll probably eat a bit out and also cook in the room, depending on whats there to use. Also a good time to unwind with a beverage.
Shitty deal Lou, can you get a time set in before you leave? I have only used a time set once, expensive set to buy. It was a 7/8" NC for a chipper blade holder on a wood chipper.

Evening, Tim. Time-serts are a bit more expensive. When you start talking that size, they can get REAL expensive.
P.S. Got any bodies that need disposing of? That chipper will take of anything!

Didn't it say designated smoking area's?
Lou, did the helicoil just come out?
If so, what are your steps to install the coil?
I've had good luck first cleaning the threaded hole with brake cleaner or carb cleaner which is usually a bit more aggressive imho, then inserting the coil with red lock tight and screwing plug in finger tight and a bit more.
Let sit over night then remove plug and coat with antiseize and re insert, a hair less snug than you usually do.
I drill out the plug and run a wire keeper also as I'm not over tightening the plug.
Seems to work for me anyway.
