I'm heading to Drumheller tomorrow to move mulchers around there until weds or thurs. hoping to be home to ride down to Trent's acreage on friday for his 25th anniversary party on saturday, and sunday morning head to Red Deer to Al's and get it done. but you know how it goes for me lol.

I am told it's not an accepted practice to change the seal and not change the sleeve on the primary shaft, to which the seal mates.

that requires a puller as well as the tool to press the sleeve onto the primary shaft. seen where people have made a pvc collar to drive the sleeve on, but my mechanic strongly suggests not using that method. he says pounding the sleeve on is bad for trans bearings etc.

the guy I bought the bike from is an HD tech and a 30 some year friend. he promises he'll never charge me labour and will pay for any engine parts that fail on his build, but only if I never work on it myself. I'm really struggling to not tear into this thing
