CNC stuff has it's own set of satisfactions for me, Tim. I like both anyway.
Oh for sure. I guess we aren't used to cnc's. I didn't mind the programming aspect of it and seeing the end results.
This course basically makes you put the material in, hit a button and walk away. Programming is another course.

Tell him if he can get a print-out of the program, he can teach himself how to program pretty easily.
Yup. Haven't done much 3-D stuff, but most everything else. Knowing how to actually "make" something manually though really makes CNC stuff a bit easier. Having that base of knowledge in your back pocket is indispensible. You can do a lot of stuff on a CNC that "can" be done manually, but it will be easier and faster on the CNC.
I'Ve seen a lot of "programmers" fail at making stuff because they really don't know how.
