Threads like this kind'a make me want to go find that old get back whip and hang it on my bars.

Those are neato. Right up until they get fouled in the spokes of your front wheel...

I ran one for about 20 years....Never even came close to having that happen.

I bought some rims from a guy that had one so I asked what's the real purpose of these for? He says well if someone is being an ******* you can use it to slap their car, break a window, take off a mirror stuff like that.

So thats what those are! Seen several bikes with those and wondered WTH are those. learn something new here everyday, with lots to learn still. Only thing I could of were those tassels that little girls stuck in the end of their handle bar grips as a kid. Probably a good thing I never asked about them.

I reckon they would come in handy if there was a hitching post around. Tie the bike up so it wouldn't wander off to graze.
