Morning Woods!

Looks like a rainy day here today but not too cold. Might go out in the grudge and work on the bike a bit. I have a new speed sensor to install.

Not sure how it is in Canada, but here in the US, Native Americans are considered to be sovereign nations unto themselves and if you get wrapped up in THEIR court systems it can be a mess.

My friend in Montana (who has since passed away) told me that a car lot would not sell a new vehicle to a NA unless the had cash to pay for it. If they got one and took it to the reservation and stopped paying for it, it was a huge hassle just to get permission to go get it back.

Mornin, Tracy. Lots of vehicles on the reservation appear to be used for garbage receptacles. Remove the engine, lift the hood and voila.

Might be, Marcus, they appear to not be civil to refrigerators, washing machines and other appliances as well.

Oh yes, I'm aware of their sovereign status however it is usually only played out in terms of casinos and selling cigarettes. Very seldom do non-NA's get wrapped up in the tribal court. Interesting legal conundrum and certainly not what one would expect for a Saturday night in Peace River....

Morning Mick.

Can't speak for all of them as I haven't seen them, but the Crow rez in Montana was often not a pretty place last time I was there

Lots of trash all over the place and very junked up. Rednecks got nothing on those folks.

The Bedre Chocolate Factory we stopped at is Indian owned. No sales tax so Sherri spent about 3 bucks more for a pound of coffee than it should be but she 'saved' almost a buck in sales tax!

We noticed the same thing as we drove to Seattle and back passing through many reservations along the way. Poverty and drug use appear to be very high in those areas.

Gonna go down and have some breakfast then take a stroll along the seawall to properly evaluate some of the locals level of fitness.....be back later!
