Is run-out defined as horizontal movement of a shaft, or an out-of-round condition of the shaft itself ? I assume in each case we're not talking about bearing problems.
Or is it something different?
Thx in advance.
Out of round condition or following a non circular path but more of an elliptical one. 03-16 bikes the crank just floats in the bearing per say and is held horizontally by the comp and the crank/cam sprocket.

What % worn is the undercarriage? One of the things I look for when buying a dozer. FWIW a complete under carriage is about $4500 from JD. Do you know how to adjust the brakes? its super simple.

Percentage wise, I couldn't tell you. All sprockets look good and have plenty of wear left on them. A few years back I took it to a place in Richmond for some work and all they said was that it looked pretty good at the time. I may have put a little over 150 hours on it after that.

Yeah I know how to adjust them and yes it's pretty simply done. I'm pretty sure it needs new pads. The 450B is a dry brake system and they can wear pretty quick if you have to do a lot of turning.

Maybe add "85% on undercarrige". That wood peak my interest. I figure market value for that dozer is 10-12k but the winch adds more value. That winch is a beast! Pretty simple too. Wish i was in the area.

HaHaHa.....I assume it should be more like .0015.......
Does that suggest the crank in not true round passing through the bearing.......or that the crank has a slight "bend" to it?
Not sure how the bearing "floats" unless the bearing interface has extra tolerance built into it.
Thx
