Tracy, I do know my smartphone shows the ROKU is a network device that I assume I am able to connect with.

Stan, we have 5 sets throughout the house. I have indoor HD antennas on those. There are really only 2 sets we spend much time watching. The one in the kitchen Sherri watches while she is in there gets about 50 channels on the antenna. The one in the office receives the same as does the one on patio.

I am considering getting another ROKU for the bedroom TV which I believe would require another internet modem.

Although we have several in the house, the one in the living room is the most used.

I can get about 12 channels through antenna here. I don't watch it much but the wife sure does. She loves the forensic shows and such..

The smart sets we have have Netflix, amazon, etc. I don't know if newer sets have ROKU installed as a selection, Lou.

The Roku is a device not an app. A Smart TV precludes the need for a streaming device such as a Roku or Amazon Fire...etc.

As far as I know you can connect another Roku via wireless, no extra modem needed.

The Roku shows on the network but I don't think you can direct connect to it....it is kinda the opposite...it streams from a source, it is not the source of anything itself except access to libraries of media.
