Couple of years ago Sco...T and I got caught in a hail storm on the road between Alamosa and Poncha Springs..outside Salida. Nickle & dime sized hail beat the hell outta us. I had welts on the back of my hand from blocking my face. I'll bet it was over an inch deep on the roadway. We were running behind a couple cars and I was following right in the tire tracks they were making thru the stuff on the road surface. Hard to believe but it didn't damage the bikes any at all.

Hit pea size hail once. Was maybe a 5 mile stretch with a 1/2 helmet an no wimpshield. Wasnt much of a storm but hurt like hell! Happy to run a full face now.
