But, like you said Tracy, you never know when you want to haul a bunch of stuff and it surely comes in handy for that.

I thought about getting a detachable kit for mine but didn't want to spend the money it would have taken to do it. It was mostly for ease of getting on the bike anyway. With my bum knee it's difficult for me to bend my leg far enough to swing it over, I have to step over the bike to get on.

They made it real easy to remove on the Rushmores. They sell the quick docking kit for $600, but it isn't needed. Wiring is all quick connect.

Mine is off 95% of the time, much easier to get on and off...and my knees are still pretty good.

Mornin. Way behind. Cool bears head. Hellen is invited. Cool shirts. I'm a xxl. Love sees no color but black or gray is cool.

Lame BBQ yesterday and kiddos football practice is still on in this rain storm.

Yup...yup and yup

So glad I am not the only one in that boat(s), though my problem is slightly limited mobility due to nerve damage in my back. I don't let it stop me, but have to be deliberate about some motions. I like the backrest I put on mine, but that's another obstacle to avoid when mounting.

I'm tall enough that stepping over isn't a big deal.

Liit. Is road base cheap there? Grade the road. Rent a roller. Compact the **** out of the base. Almost as good as asfault.
