Not sure what they had in mind with this feature but I heard from a completely unreliable source that the first to 1000 thanks gets $100 from each of the mods.

Nah actually wasn't bad. Turned out the big wigs had my back and wanted to help. I'm about to lose a huge chunk of money because of other people's incompetence.
