I bet that is not nearly as fun as it is portrayed in the movies/TV

 

I just get to write technical documents all day. Fun stuff.

 

I am also responsible for writing and updating documentation. We have an internal wiki site that we use for all our department documentation

 

tv and movies are bs. they sit in their pods, 25/30 of them playing cards and talking **** to eachother. most are drug dealers and users ages 18 to 25. they all want to see the doctor for meds, none of them want to go out on road crew, they all want a lay down memo so they can sleep their time away. bunch of lazyass punks. i work in the parole section

 

i do medical records all day, inputting their sick call sheets into our system. their pods are across from my office. i'm around them all day in the hall ways or down in medical. like spiders i'm always within a couple feet of them,lol

 

Oh, so it is exactly like the movies!

I have a cousin that was a prison guard in NM before moving back to Colorado. Not a fun gig at all. Sometimes all the separates the criminals are the clothes and bars....some guards are more criminal than the inmates

 

yup, two way street, but believe me, you want these thugs in prison. they can't function on the outside.

if they did i'd never leave. we do get some good looking chicks in the parole, but they all have crotch rot

 

Got 3 friends that each spent 20+ years as baby sitters for our local Men's colony. Crazy **** but the pay and bennies are amazing!
