She has been having those for years (at least 10) They wanted to replace her knees 15 years ago, but she was too young at the time and would outlive her knees.
They would only allow the 3 times period for me. Had it over a period of 3 years. I was 46 when I had mine done. No choice. Between 8 surgeries and the arthritis there was nothing left.
Never had a Cortisone injection in it.

It did seem to help cushion it for a bit for me and reduced the pain some. I was grateful for any relief at the time.
