Stan, kinda like you I made my living with my words, ideas, management skills, etc. I find now I wish I had learned more 'hard' skills like mechanics, welding, carpentry, etc. along the way. I always paid people to do those things cause I had no time, now I have time but realize I am having to learn those skills so I don't have to pay.

I envy guys like Ken, Lou, Russ, etc. that are completely comfortable with wiring diagrams, wrenches, hammers, welders, etc. I am clueless.

 

 

Freak, there are a lot of good dudes who post in this thread. The one thing I find they have in common is they've all lost the desire to see who can stand the greatest distance from the urinal.

Haven't said this to ya so far but you'd be better off if you took a little lesson from that.

I'm easy going, not much bothers me or gets my panties in a twist. been through to much crap to sweat the small stuff. just here for the laughs and talk to the peeps

 

Yep, lotsa respect for that group and pretty awesome what they can do.
I know enough to be dangerous mechanically but I don't weld or fabricate - that takes more skill and knowledge than I possess.
Ya know Mick, it's never to late. Just get in and "do". Short of welding and fabricating skills it's an organized process.....and you understand process. The web and you tube are your friend here.
