Chuck, NASCAR started to turn more "Corporate" right after you got hooked. Multi car teams, and the rules packages took the personality out of it. I generally only watch 5-10 races a year anymore, with 4 must sees- the 2 Daytona races and the 2 at Talledega.

Not laughing I'd do it in a heart beat if the city wasn't such ********.

One of the suburbs here has been trying to build a track to attract a race, but I think that ship has sailed. They're about 15 years too late.

It wasn't bad today, for a Sunday.

Nice to see your knee feels up to some moderate hiking.
I did manage to get some hiking in, only about 7 miles or so according to the IPhone but saw some cool stuff...

NASCAR's rules are sorta like the weather in Texas.....Wait 5 minutes an it'll change. The France boys change rules quicker than you can change socks.
The way they have things screwed up now, you might just as well call them all IROC races.
Quit watchin'em altogether about 4-5 years ago.

Ya, there some iconic tracks that don't have races any more. Unless someone builds another race colosseum like Bristol Tenn. I don't see any new races, in the US anyway.
