Happy Birthday Mark II!
Things have certainly changed a lot in scouting since I was one in 1969. Still, it can be a great program if it's run correctly by people who give a **** Lou. My oldest is an Eagle and the youngest is looking like he'll get his as well. It is something they can carry with them for the rest of their lives and it still looks pretty good on a resume.
I also firmly believe that it puts your kid running in circles with other children that are a lot less likely to be into things they shouldn't. I think it helped keep mine drug free and out of trouble.
Oh boy do they ever! Lots of them!
I hope you will get involved Lou. I think you would enjoy it if you have the time. I would still be doing it if I was physically able.
Scouting need good people with a head on their shoulders that care about kids. Like you.

Happy Birthday to which ever Mark is having one.
Morning all, a not so balmy 40 degree's here in sunny but cool MN.
Finished off the pulled pork I smoked a few days ago, burner on the smoker is making a bit more yellow flame (Propane) so I have the damn thing apart in the shop, just once would I like to see a engineer design something right, morons.
You'd think it wouldn't be to much to ask to get to the burner with out taking half the smoker apart..
But it's to cool for Kubbing so what the hell.
Have a great day.

Looks like the dashboard (cockpit HA!) of a IH 656. I grew up on one of them......and some older JD 2 cylinder jobbies.

Farm 'learnin' time on TOAK.
All that beautiful crop is gone. Grey and black tilled fields everywhere. Kinda depressing because we know the big sleep is coming...........
Bales made of the corn stalks and dried leaves left over from harvest. With big crops there's a lot of trash. We didn't roll this stuff up years ago.
