Busted two coveys and shot three birds. Not the greatest day ever but I was in a small canyon with real steep sides. most importantly though I managed to avoid all the wallet hunters that like to come up from LA.

Your wife is who I meant. I have trouble with conveying a message sometimes.

Good on you Chester! That doesn't look like bird hunting country to me, but I've always hunted farm areas.

They live anywhere there is water out here. You should see the areas chukar hang out at. Them bastards like steep barren lava rock mountains, nothing but rocks, dirt, and dead grass.

This canyon has a hidden spring tucked away under a granite overhang. Pretty cool spot.
