A salvage title wouldn't scare me if I was planning on keeping it. You might check with your insurance company before purchasing though. Some won't insure "salvage" titles. Flood would scare me.

Yep. I wouldn't mind the wreck but flood would be a different matter. I was thinking about having it around the house just to run around the neighborhood, maybe ride to work instead of putting miles on the King. Perhaps I could interest the missus in riding it? Who knows....

Will you be extolling the virtues and unlimited knowledge of the TOAK? Is this a replacement for the defunct radio show?

Observations:
883
LOW version - your **** will be pretty close to da ground
Salvage title - kinda Ugh......
Low & 883 would be very good if the SO wants to learn to ride.

My '99 1200 is direct mount, not rubber mounted but otherwise a great run-around bike. I was lucky and found an exceptionally clean one for what little I use it.

Personal opinion I'd go older 1200, clean, for the same money or less, but my OL has no interest in ever driving her own.......

Russ did you have to hone or otherwise clean up the cyl walls?
