Don't feel bad Mick. I motored up to a gas station one time, folks at every pump. They all stared when I pulled up, so I'm either real handsome or real ugly, and I'm leaning toward ugly. My mind was preoccupied with some things, and I hop off and in my mind I had put the kick stand down, but like I said, I was thinking about some other stuff and in fact, I did NOT put the kick stand down. Laid ol' Pearl down on her engine guard slick as you please...

Jerked her back up, filled up the tank and went on down the road, cuz any sort of cool factor I had when I pulled up was pretty much as shattered as my ego....

Hey, sometimes you kick some ***, and sometimes you just hurt your knee...
Mine was a slow motion drop. Was changing the oil. In the softail I like to lean it to the right to make it drain the whole oil bag. I was standing on the right. When I went to lean it back on the kick stand the kick stand wasn't locked. Slowly lowered the thing all the way to the ground will friends were watching. Took everything I had to not let go of the grip.

Yes. Remember it's okay if it folds or crinkles on install. They are hard to put in perfectly. Once 1/2 way in find a 1/2 socket that matched the OD. Put a 1/2 extension in the socket backwards and tap it in with a hammer. I put a film of anti seize in the groove in the head.

Evening Jack! Glad to hear the knee is feeling better. I'm gonna be here until next Tuesday when I will fly home, host the Annual HOA meeting then go to Portland the next day. Following that I am back down here until I finish the plane.
