This guy was doing OK up to the point he stole her purse.... AND had to smell her toes.......

HaHa - Hey Chuck.
This is at the center of my sometimes erratic relationship with Harley.
After looking at several used, and even a few aftermarket units, I calculated that I would have 65-75% of new cost invested in a used unit - pre 2014.
I bit the bullet and bought new.......I'll be keeping the bike for awhile and the style matches the bike. Heck, the bike is new too.......
As we all know the rub is in the price of these Harley doo-dads. Being a salesman I know "if ya want it bad enough, ya pays the price". It's the American way.
I know myself and might have regretted anything less.........moving on :-)

I told my wife I'd buy one for her before the trip west. Priced out a color mached HD tour pak on line, $716+100.00+179.00, trunk,locks,pad, I have the mount. Then she says maybe we should wait till we retire and buy the Ultra Classic. I think I might buy one for the King anyway, I can always sell it.
