Lou, my understanding is the Breakout has a weak or non-existent locking tab as well.

Talked a friend into a Bandit clutch. He had an SE one. Lever pull was horrible. It's hard to swallow the $500 bill but darn thing is a two finger clutch. HD should be taking notes.

Doesn't surprise me. Mine just flops around like a wet noodle. Low on my priority list to resolve.

I have the SE spring in mine. Don't have much trouble with it.

So did I. I mean the SE race clutch! Think has a rock hard lever pull so I've been told.
