Like I said, it's an interesting concept

 

I'm going to call it an early night fellers, but before I do let me tell you about my wife and politics.


First you should know that she comes from a staunchly conservative, Rush Limbaugh loving, republican family and can be VERY passionate when it come to her political beliefs. Now I can appreciate that, but tend not to be quite so emotional about things holding firmly to the belief that, while I too am a conservative, most politicians are just lying sacks of **** who will say whatever it takes to get themselves in office.


That being said, the last two presidential elections went something like this here at home....


I had (unfortunately correctly) predicted that Obama would be the next president.


When results were in for 2008, she burst into tears and was pretty much inconsolable although I tried.


When the results for 2012 came in, I advised the kids to shelter in place in their rooms and I left the house. I had and have never since heard that kind of language come out of her mouth. True story...
