A good tune with proper timing will keep the carbon down on pistons, venting the crankcase like some of have done, well you can read 20 reasons why and why not... I think its a p!ss poor way to dump oil mist into an intake, rather not do it myself. I had oil dripping off my throttle body on my road kings and the new bike,,, seems senseless to me.
There are arguments that the twin cams need the vacuum to properly assist the breathers... some people run 1/2 a quart lower on oil to keep the throttle bodies from dripping down on the timing cover. uI heard the same thing on Cummins deisel motors too... they vent the friggin thing right back to the turbo which in turn runs through the intake again... not on mine!
