I was so early in the clubhouse because I woke up early, arrrrggghhh.

My meeting was as I expected, not really applicable to me but I have to be there bright and shiny regardless. Had the oil changed on my truck afterwards.

This afternoon, I had a budget meeting for the HOA. We have decided to put the screws to our residents and raise dues $53.00 or 10% next year since nothing is getting cheaper. So the assessments will be $587.75 annually. Gotta pay for the 4 pools, butt load of landscaping plus some upcoming unfunded repairs, tree replacements, fence repairs etc. etc.. If everyone paid their dues it would add an additional $71,000.00 to our reserve fund but as you know, not everyone will pay their assessments and we will have to take them to foreclosure. Realistically, I expect to see about 50K out of the deal to add to our annual assessments of $761,838.00* (*=if everyone paid).

Do y'all pay hot broads to be lifeguards at those pools?

4 pools?? Wow!! We have some pretty large Subdivisions around here that I'm sure are very similar to yours and have only one pool/common area.

Well, mine are Thiele children. They cannot be left alone for very long nor do you trust them with fire.

I go the kids my parents wished on me "I hope you have some just like YOU!"

We have one wading pool at a separate location. At our main pool we have one lap pool about half Olympic size, a kiddie pool with water features and a splash pool at the end of our dual water slides. Lifeguards are expensive and so are those pools! I had to approve a 5K outlay to replace the pump and impeller for the slides two weeks ago.
