TOAK- Thread Of All Knowledge- Part IV
Great story, Tracy. The stars who remain humble are the real treasures. Probably never told ya my Dallas Cowboys story. For several years I gave demos to Larry Lacewell when he as the Cowboy Director of Player Personnel. In return Sherri and I got season tickets to the Stadium Club (at the old stadium). It's nice area with a buffet and dining room type seating.
Sherri and I take another couple. Cowboys are playing the Eagles. About 3 tables away are 3 of the most gorgeous women you have ever seen. During the entire game they're looking straight at my buddy Jim and me. It was almost uncomfortable, they were staring.
Game continues, the staring continues. I nudge Jim, he's aware and damn, we're pretty proud of ourselves.
Game ends, they stand up and head straight toward us. Wow...they stop at the table directly next to us and introduce themselves to the guy in the white cowboy hat. George Strait. Jim and I laughed our asses off.

Indeed. Felt like the old extend your hand for a handshake that never comes. Pretty deflating.
I'm just a big old fuzzy teddy bear myself.....
Bwahaha! Good one Mick!
I just look the part.
