Watch out for the flimsy upper dash. It will break into 100 pieces. Ebay wants $150 for it. And it will break. The Dodge dashes are famous for that.
If there is any help I can give you when you get started, holler at me.

Thanks..!!
My first Harley was this '96 Sporty. Great bike. Except I'm 6'1", and it didn't exactly fit. I rode with my feet on the highway bar almost all the time, even in city traffic.
You shouldn't do that, I read a thread on here that said it was dangerous.

I had a 1991 XLH. I miss that bike more than any other bike I have ever had.
While my Sporty will always have a place in my heart because it was my first (like an old girlfriend I guess), my Street Bob was my fav.

That is a nice Bob, right there!!
Afternoon folks!
Dan - All's well.
Never owned a sporty but I do miss my FXD sometimes even though it was too small for my 6'3" frame. The guy I sold it to lives right up the road a couple miles. He even let me ride it again a few weeks back. Told him if he ever decided to sell it, I'd buy it back from him and put forward controls on it. Fun bike that was a hoot in the twisties.
I'm still holding out for that Heritage Springer!
