Although Chester was close with his 8 dollar beers, I think I win the "who spent the most cash" today because we went to the home improvement center and made an appointment with the granite countertop man. With the amount we are gonna ask for the house when it goes on the market, people will expect to see granite.

 

Evenin, Reginald. Have you looked into the company that doesn't remove and replace but tops existing with granite like material? Did that to a rental I sold. Could not tell the difference, about a third of the cost and looked great.

Friend of mine is a contractor. He is on a program where Lowe's and Home Depot get the contract and he does the work. Fences, porches, concrete, roofing, etc.

I did not know, until he told me, the big box stores are not the ones doing the work in most cases.

 

I'm aware of who is who in the arrangement. Both places lack of professionalism and customer support is the issue.
