Mark have you noticed a rash of compensator nuts coming loose through the forum lately? I have seen a couple of posts about it and on another forum I'm a member of. Is the factory not putting the correct torque on these? I saw one guy claim it was because people down shift to decelerate......HAHAHAHA. Anyway, JIMS has produced a retainer for the nervous Nellies out there. Seem it?

That's kinda cool. Not sure what's going on but in the 07 manual the torque was like 135 foot pounds, and it has gone up every couple years and now it's up to 175 or some crap.

Can never be too sure, like with pulley nuts, hammer it on with an impact and when you think it's tight hit it one more time. That's my spec.
