'bout that time.
Moved a buncha concrete blocks today, think I'm finished with the manual labor for the day. Still gotta do some food prep for the freezers, would like to build a big pot a chili while I'm at it. Back in '09, thought finally, get a few things done and gonna live a life of leisure. Wunder how many other guys thought that and found out it ain't that simple.

So me and my much better half, decided on D,Q for an indian summer treat. On the way there we were cut off in front of the sky zone on rte 5, seems the offending car needed a d,q as well, we got out of the car and took our time ordering seeing as she ended up behind us in line. But the worst part, was the neglecting father type who takes a 5 year old up to the dq window buys the biggest fugging cone they have an takes the 5 year old, away back to the car empty handed....what a douche!

Checkin' in.... went to the Eye DR today.....cataract surgery in the near future.Last year, he said there was a tiny spot that wasn't worth mentioning.. Notice my vision has been getting blurry the past few months, apparently it's been getting worse. On top of that, allergies usually get bad in Sept. every year and this year did some damage to my corneas plus I've been wearing contacts for 50 years. He said no contact lenses for a month to let the corneas heal and then surgery. Told me that there's no downside to getting it done and may only need reading glasses.....My brother had one eye done before he was 50 and said his vision is perfect both near and far.

A good friend ( who's wore glasses for years, 40 that I know of ) had cataract surgery last year. No more glasses. His vision is almost 20/20. The weird part is he looks SO different without his glasses.

Hey Larry. I started wearin' glasses in 2nd grade, contacts when I was almost 16. Without correction, I'm probably legally blind. I never take my contacts out, just change them every month or so. Seven or eight years ago, I begged them to do LASIK surgery on me, but they wouldn't because of curvature of my cornea. So the cataract surgery is almost a blessing for me.
