Well good morning troops. There I was, blissfully sleeping with Buster snuggled into my arms when suddenly he was transformed into a kicking jerking wild animal when he heard a faint wheeze, squeak, bang from a distant garbage truck! Every Tuesday he acts as my alarm clock all because of James, my old trash picker upper. He absolutely loved Buster who can be quite charming when he is not terrifying the easily intimidated.... James would actually stop his rig, get out, and reach in his pocket and take out an old napkin in which he would save and roll up a piece of his bacon from breakfast and feed it chunk by chunk to my adoring dog ,sometimes while sitting crosslegged on my drive while the Old Coastie would wander out in his robe and discuss politics, the weather, and garbge collecter gossip for what was often the best half hour of every week watching Buster lean on him with his paw around his shoulder, Buster has always been an astute judge of characters and James, with his many loves and quirks certainly fit the bill.... We miss James who disappeared from our route 6 months ago...
Late shift check in,my garbage man comes while I'm at work. Could be a garbage woman for all I know.
Evening guys. I am my own garbageman. Only fill about 2 cans a month. So I haul them to the transfer station once a month. Costs me only $4. If I had it picked up at home it would cost $30 a month.
