Thanks Tick, I'm stealing that.
Guess it's about time to bundle up in 4 layers and trade the glasses for my motorsickle goggles. Supposed to have a Netflix dvd in the mail, and should blow the driveway 'fore somebuddy drives on it and packs the sn*w down.
My daughter said she got to werk about 10:30, usually gets there before 9. Was still snowing then. I don't know what the salt deal is this year, different than ever before. Been salting my cul de sac twice a day, even when they don't plow. Never seen so much salt just laying on the road not melting out there before. My van is shedding metal in the grudge... Won't be Uralnating this month, gonna break my long running ride every month streak. A ride in this crap would require pulling most of the screws and bolts for cleaning or replacement, and the tires would probably outlast the spoke wheels. Talked with a guy that found that out about Urals the hard way...

Went out to blow out the driveway. Damn starter on the snowblower wouldn't engage. Pulled rope couple times. Gave up. I got 4wheel drive. Gonna take a nap. That solves all problems.

3 or 4 years ago, the recoil spring end popped out on mine, pita to take it apart and get the spring back in place, especially on mine where you have to lift the engine up a bit from the deck to get the recoil starter housing off. But it's been fine since.
Ain't gonna work on it now. Will wait till it warms up some. I can have my son bring his snowblower over if I need driveway cleaned out.

I just drag mine into the dining room and let it thaw, then fix it there. I've had to do that when wet snow froze and locked the blades up, too. If you have one of those wife things, that might not work...
Snowblowers...sn*w machines.....pffftttt...sittin' here looking at 2 snow blowers and a URAL...all totally useless again this year! Ice last night and salty wet roads now...shoulda bought a squeegee and a mop......
