I got to experience the backside of a claymore from about 20 - 30 yards once. One of the heavier concussions I've felt. If I hadn't been able to duck behind a low wall as the cloud of crud came at me, I'd have been a splinter pin cushion - the mine was on a fallen tree, and pretty much disintegrated it. The VC kept turning our perimeter claymores around towards the base, so shortly before I left they gave up and removed all of them. Haven't thought of that event in a long time.

Putting that snowblower back together was a pita, but finally got it all buttoned up, rolled it out in the grudge, gave the rope a tug, and it fired right up. Oh goody. Warm clothes, snowmobile mitts, goggles, felt lined boots... motored it out in the snow, pulled the auger handle... wtf, why ain't it blowing snow? Back in the dining room... auger belt is so stretched it doesn't come close to engaging, how the hell was it werking last year? I gotta go kill sumptin.
well we got a lot of stuff done....laundry an cleaning still needs done, but we are beat from the holiday fare and the snow that was dumped on us.....tomorrow should be a day off........I don't think so.
