Good theory, but, protecting a crank that has .014 runout from the factory seems I dunno...silly. .014 is on the high side of what we seen but a pretty common .008-.010 is just ridicules. Me no buy new bikey.

At least they started with a solid design. The opposing cylinder BMW motors were great. Now I guess it just depends on how much vodka was consumed by the QC department when they were building yours.

I thinking that there's so much slop in the engine that it doesn't matter. Seems like if they're gonna crap out, they do it when they're relatively new. About 16k on mine and runs like a fine tuned can of nuts and bolts
