Mornin' Al. Been up since 5:30, just late getting on the puter. Looks like everyone else has headed out. I should, too, several errands to do. Smart?phone says rain, puter weather says none; what the hell, the Uralbeast has been soaked before. Need some little stuf at the Harley dealer, dare I take the beast there?
Mornin', Moldie....absolutely take the Ural there. Local dealer had a Spring Open House deal in April, temps in the 30's. Lot was filled with cars and trucks, but only one motorcycle!......A URAL....buahahahha....musta been too cold for the "real bikers"
BTW..don't know if you have trouble with the rubber two piece air branch intakes. Mine had been over tightened at one time and kept slippin off the carb perch. Happenened again a week ago while I was out. I got a set of the new 2013 one piece from Gene at Holopaw....They work really well, little chance of them coming off. Others are selling them for $70-$80 plus shipping. Called Gene and told him to send me a set, never asked the price. ...Had them in 2 days. $58 + $8 shipping.

my place of employment rebids every new year, so I grab the time between x-mass and new years as vacay....my choice is dayshift or nightowl bullshit. Take about ten straight days for me to adjust, but I have to admit, waking up in the am and having a **** and a coffee is pretty good .....3rd shift I never experienced such regularity....to put it mildly.

Muggy today. Only felt good while I was moving. 3 Ural trips and never did get my fork oil; don't want the Harley stuff, don't want the $30 a quart stuff, don't want cheap never heard of it stuff, and that's all they had. Internet....
Had the g' son for a while, rode him home and managed to fly him long enough out of a corner that the tire squawked when it finally came down. He had a big grin. Got him home, jacked up a bike and gave him some wrenches, but he took one part off and said it was too hot and miserable to do any more. Oh well. Wasn't much longer and grandpa called it a day, too.
