Thought I'd have most of this day to meself, but daughter called, gotta make a plumbing run. I hate shower faucets, some of those one handle only on or off things are a pita.

Often have several robins in the garden, seem to like bare dirt where they can find bugs easy. Must have been at least two dozen this morning, and they were acting crazy, chasing each other around. They can fly through densely packed tomatoes or peppers, don't know how their wings fit. Fold at the last instant and missile through? Too fast to tell. One of them would throw something up the air with a bill flip, and fly up a couple feet, then land and do it again, several times. Playing with his food? Bluejays don't play nice with other birds. Goldfinches like Swiss chard, but usually pick out one or two plants and stick with those all summer. I can spare a few leaves. The other birds leave the veggies alone. If someone would just turn that deer into venison... it's back again this year.
