I don't know what I'm gonna do today. Gettin near noon and I still haven't made a decision. Do I pry a tire off the rim, put the new Win 7 puter on the 'net, make some chili, or just watch another episode of "Alcatraz"?

 

Went onna rideabout this morning....Headed East outta here over the mountains to Bedford. Beautiful day to be out & about. Rode by the Flight 93 Memorial....Roads were practically deserted the whole morning.
Never hit any traffic worth talking about till I got within a mile of my house at Noon.

 

Best kind of ride, when nothing else man made is moving. Rode an hour or more on some winding two lane in Nevada decades back, coulda been on another planet 'cept for the asphalt. Then I hit reserve. Got worried. Dropped the speed way down, around the speed limit. Got to a little gas station/cafe, and then it was near another hour to something man made. Not at the speed limit. I like Nevada.

 

Checkin' in....got the SUV all washed up this morning, then BIL called. So I went riding. Wife's car was still there when I got back,though I didn't wash it...too hot. Hardly any traffic on the country roads. Went up to a 911 Memorial about 40 miles away up in the country. I've been there before and never took any pictures.
Woman whose son was killed in the Twin Towers started the Memorial on family land, really beautiful place with granite bases and Stainless plaques with the names of every who died there.There was a lot of money put into it. Have to get some pictures next time. really a shame that most people don't know about it, but it is way up in the country.
Oh, came close to getting run over by an old lady in the convenient store parking lot. I was behind her waiting for anothe car two spaces up to back out, when she decided to put her car in reverse and back up without looking back. Good thing my BIL was standing there in front of her and screamed at her and got my attention too. She stopped a few feet short of me and said she never saw me. BIL said she never looked in her mirrors, just glanced to her right and started to back out.......

 

Convenience store parking/gas lots are scary places!!!!

 

Base-a-ball game iz on....Pie-ratz are losin by 2

 

Twins game on. Ahead 4-2 I the 4th. Twins have won 3 in a row. Only 14 games out of 1st.
