C-rats were way better than our mess hall. Australian navy cook, Australian beef; I liked most things Aussie, but not that combination. We got to eat at a base somewhere north of Saigon one night that had delicious food. Lot of tall trees among the buildings, was unusual, maybe you've been there. I borrowed a deuce & a half one night and cruised the base looking for c-rat pallets, and found some stacked outside. They probably thought nobody would want them... The crew appreciated the extra case I'd bring along, company would only give us one rat per day. I requisitioned a lot of meals off the books, but we still had some real hungry days.

My nurse practitioner has left. So will being someone new this fall for my annual checkup. This visit is just to check my A1C.

Will try. Fishing season opened Saturday. The one 2 days ago. Can't wait to get a mess of crappies.
