Been riding most of the day. Looks like I be needin some front brake pads. The Sporty takes DOT 5 brake fluid and I know it isn't cheap but it is affordable. So I look on-line for pads, $12 at Amazon, $19.99 at JP Cycles.

So I get this big idea to call Boswell's Harley in Cookeville.

$53.95 I don't need them that bad, I think I can wait till the next weekend, jeezzzy!

Where do you guys with older machines buy your pads?
Usually motorcycle-superstore.com, but I checked and J&P had a better deal:

http://www.jpcycles.com/product/240-710

Don't remember your year, but seem to remember it's a solid mount motor. You can change the bike year on the page to get specific year fits. These are organic pads, there are also sintered.

These are EBC, have used those and thought they were better than oem. I like Lyndalls best, but they're getting expensive, more than $53...

J&P also has some for 20 bucks, but not a name I've heard of, don't like the idea of too cheap when those 2 pads are around 70-80% of the bike's stopping power.

I think I will go with the EBC sintered. And then when I have to replace the rotor maybe go with the Lyndal pads. I don't wanna pay for them on a older rotor. I will be keeping this bike for the rest of my life for sentimental reason's. Thanks for your input.
