Bright & sunny today, that 8 or 9" from yesturday is going fast. Plow came around about 9am, lot's of bare asphalt, melting out from the tire tracks but he managed to scrape up a little pile that was mostly gone before he even left, but that didn't stop him from pouring the salt on. Street's a salt soup, my driveway melted and dried already 'cept for a bit that's in the shade. Bet there's hundreds of thousands of dollars of salt on Minnysota roads that wasn't needed at all. And they could see that as they poured it on. Won't be any bike riding till a good rain or two. Gonna try to not even take the van out today, it ain't been in that kind of salt soup this winter, hate to soak it this late.

Grandkid videoed the ride yesturday, but the edit reboots my puter, never had that happen before. These digital gremlins are always coming up with something new.

Lot of states salt, but this is the only one I've seen salt dry roads. Yep, seen em do it a few times. Most of it gets scattered off the road by traffic before the next snow. When the sun hits my van windshield right, can see it's covered with tiny pits from salt chunks, and it was replaced in '09.

My OL told me once you hit 40 you stop counting, so maybe he's over 40.
