Poser's Coffee House, All Bullshit Accepted, Part VII
Sitting in a single position for extended periods is not a good thing for legs, I know that. Man, those seats suck!
Seems like both! I am redoing the stairs going to the second floor. 48" open-ended front to a landing, 35" enclosed stairs (with a turn) from the landing back to the kitchen, and 42" open-left stairs to the second level. I finished the back stairs and am finishing the landing now.
I hope you can visualize that
They were carpet over crap 2x10's. Going to red oak finished in English Chestnut.

Did a lot of that years ago when I was making cabinets for family room. Used a router in a router stand....worked great. Only other tool I had was a radial arm saw. Did things with it that were scary!

Probably gonna be sore tomorrow, bit of sawing and some hammer; one stump down, something over a dozen to go.
Longest flights in the last 10 years were around 2.5 hours, knees would be hurting within a couple hours. Would like to see Hawaii, but not in coach; can't get first, I wouldn't get on. Might give it a try some day, if it took a couple extra days to get there, I could just stay a couple extra. Or however long I felt; I often don't make return plans till I feel like leaving. Not that I travel much anymore...
I miss my Phoenix workbench. Bit over 11 foot, radial arm in the middle with a fence back far enough I could slide and slice a 4x8 sheet down the middle real easy. Router stand (upside down) built in near one end of the table. That house was near twice as big as the current one, had room for stuff like that. All I have for table stuff now is a Shopsmith.

Used one of my dado blades, 1/4" wide, and I made the tongues and grooves on 4 ft. oak like nobody's business. So far, I have used all of the big tools, including the radial arm saw. I'm glad to have it around, sometimes it is the perfect tool for the job. But, I do try to avoid it. I could see losing a finger or a hand real quick! I wish I had a bigger work area, but that's the way it goes. I have to move things around a lot.
Don't worry, Tick. Won't be long and you'll have to close the shades to go to bed.
