We are not at war with Iran. If our boats resisted (especially since they were having mechanical troubles) they would have created an international incident. I'm quite sure they were ordered to not resist. That said, any sensitive materials should have been destroyed. That is a standing order. I was in charge of such equipment in Vietnam and only people that were on my list were allowed anywhere near it. The commanders on those boats did the right thing and brought their people home. It was not worth starting a war.
That said, what the Iranians did was reprehensible. Posing our people the way they did to show them off. An ally or non-enemy would have just showed them all standing with smiles on their faces while they assisted them.

OMG that is terrible! Salvage the motor, send it to Ultra and he'll mod up his snow thrower!

Hey Moldy I had to clean the main jet to stop surging and actually ended up on a Canadian snow blower forum and was able to nail down what jet to look for on my China made engine in my Troy Bilt. Those folks are serious about their snow machines eh! It's like one of our Harley forums with tips and mods ...and yes even oil threads!

They were all pissed off cuz a Lutheran from Minnesota pushing a two stroke Toro got discombobulated in the snow and found himself surrounded by savage Canuckians with 2 stage Ariens, held overnight in a bar and forced to drink beer and eat walleye all night!
