Wouldn't surprise me if it's colder there, bit north of me. Minnysota breaks too many low temp records, wouldn't mind moving a little south, like 1200 miles, maybe?

We are actually too damn hot right now for our region. For the past 4 years we have been getting some wicked weather changes. Not normal for us to get chinooks, but we have been getting them. Plus, I can't move south yet, not even close to retiring. Right now we are 33ºF

Happy New Year to you and your Family Ken. Learning this thing is quite interesting. I used to use a Spot, but this I find will be way better since there is two way communication. Also, its handy in the mountains sledding or in the summer riding. Have you used one?

Its a nice little tool to have for sure. Bought it this summer and never activated it yet. Thought I better do it for the winter. I had a "Spot" before and there were many times I was yelled at from the wife who was worried because the message didn't go through. This way she can text back.

Friend of mine does some extreme wilderness stuff... he has one... I have never used one...
