Hi Doc.
All 40's and dry for the next 8 days, if the guessers are right. And the roads are salted...

Your roads salted yet? If I brought the water hose in the house and let it thaw, be warm enuf next week to rinse the bike off... If I did take one out, it'd be the sporty, planning on replacing the wheels anyway, go all solids. Salt wicks by the spokes into the rim, doesn't take much and it's a mass of rust around the spoke heads on the inside. Suspect the 1200 had seen a little salt, front rim was a mess inside when I replaced the tire (and the rim!), though the rest of the bike looked ok.

Gonna drill and tap it, like mine?

My tires were a February and a couple Marches, newest ones must be on the top of the pile, getting older as they sell em. Still ok, year ain't bad. Took so long 'cause I couldn't get the order through, and then tried it on Chrome instead of Firefox, and that werked. Getting tubes somewhere else, not much information on their site about what they have. Might even get them at the Harley dealer if they have the size, good heavy duties with steel stems, $15 last time I got some there. Did you get new tubes?

They musta known I was on their website, got an email saying if I'd come back and finish the order, I'd get another $10 off. Ended up 50 bucks apiece, now that's cheap. Should be decent tires, they're standard equipment from the factory now. And twice that price or more from a dealer. Hmm, have a few things in common with Harley...

Yeah, drilled and tapped the nut. it's solid aluminum..piece of cake. I spoke to the girl at that place, she was kinda confused. I think it's Mom and Pop place with a decent web site and good prices. I just ordered a tube and rim strip off Amazon. Looks like the worse part of this is gonna be findin' the green wire in the harness undeer the tank...haven't looked yet.
