Right now i can confirm that my ignorance is bliss. Not knowing
something is often more comfortable than knowing it.

For 18yrs I had a part time job at a gun shop, the owners of the place were really into collecting Civil War stuff, they had enough stuff that they could open a pretty decent sized museum. Ted is a walking encyclopedia of Civil War knowledge, I guess some of it wore off on me and stuck.

Bring our Southern Heritage Back......HDF does not need to get on this liberal band wagon!!
I hear they are going to band asprin bottles because it offens some to have to pick the cotton out of the top of the bottle.

While I can understand the desire to be 'politically correct' in today's society, I think HDF is making a mistake by dropping sales of Confederate Flag patches. According to a story in the local newspaper, gift shops here are having a 'run' on Confederate items they sell.

This is despite having raised the prices on these items.

My ancestors came from Germany so I can empathize having a Heritage associated with surrender.

I was taught in school that the South did not surrender. At Appomattox, Grant cowardly stole Robert E. Lee's sword. Gen. Lee was such a true southern gentleman that he refused to embarrass Gen. Grant by demanding its' return.

Riding Harleys and Indians has always had sort of been looked upon us as rebel type character. The confederate flag has gone along with that image...
The flag is called the " Southern Cross", Like guns the flags don't kill it's the people who are responsible...
You can see the KKK marching with the American Flag also does that mean we are going to have to stop displaying it also?
Living across the river from Natchez Mississippi all the big plantations, and plantation homes were owned by rich Land owners out of the Northeast. Thus these homes were not burned by the invading Northern troops.
I am so dissappointed in HDF being liberals and following the liberal political correctness thinking that the liberals are trying to shove down our throats.
