Took me forever to find that one. I had a t-shirt that said that about 20 years ago.

 

FYI.....the cop that picked me up in TN on my way to Daytona last month for wearing my "non-authorized" helmet told me that the "tip off" they look for to determine whether to pull you over to check your helmet to see if it's DOT or a beanie are the stickers. Just saw another thread on the topic of TN cracking down on non DOTs and again, it cost me $172.50 for my "crime". Apparently they think that folks wearing the DOTs ain't gonna plaster stickers on them.......well, guess what the first thing I did after I bought my new DOT authorized helmet for the ride back was....................and there are gonna be more. So, the hell with that theory !!

 

Rock on OlJim49, I do use a real DOT helmet. So If i put a bunch of stickers on it, the law here (TN) will think it's a fake? Im gonna do it, and let them stop me. hehehe

 

Why do you need others opinions...if you want them on your helmet, then do it.
IMO, putting a pile of stickers on your helmet to appear that you are "against the grain",
is the most obvious way to tell everyone that you aren't.

 

Just going by what the officer told me when I asked how in the hell he could tell across a median running the opposite direction that I was wearing a non-DOT helmet and that's what he said. Of course....that's just what that one cop said so who knows plus I'm sure it didn't help my case that I had out of state tags ............
